Face and tackle the issues...
As we go about life we must come across issues. We're asked for our opinions. This is the time in our lives that we can form that opinions. Some of the issues that come up you may know exactly how you feel about. Others may require some looking inside and at the world around.
Some of the issues faced here over time will be touchy. So once again we will warn you of the topics that may arise. We'll try to come up with as challenging of topics as we can but we'd love to hear the things you can come up with! So drop us an e-mail... Help us come up with some great ideas.
This month's topic:

*Freedom of Speech*
Every human alive has some freedom of speech. Some countries, cultures, and situations provide more then others. It probably would be agreed that everyone would enjoy complete freedom to express whatever they want to. But how much should a person get? When does one person's freedom of speech take away another's freedom. Like in the case of rap music. Recently people have been speaking out against the racist and sexist material used in some artist's songs. Is freedom of speech important in music? When should a person's freedoms be compromised? Should they ever be?
Here's what we'd like you to do. We want your response to Freedom of Speech. You can answer the questions asked or present and answer questions of your own. You can write and submit an article, story, poem, or song having to do with freedom of speech. We will also accept sound files (if you would like to read aloud something you wrote or sing the song you wrote for instance). But if you want to get really creative, we will also accept a picture that expresses this issue (make it on the computer, use black and white film, whatever). Get really creative, or write something expressive.
What do you gain from this? Well to begin with, who doesn't like to express their thoughts and be heard? Plus, if you impress us, we will link your work from the front page. Everything submitted will be on this page. If you want to submit a writing, please go over to our submission page and write in the comments that you are doing the Issue Project. We hope you take some time to figure out and express your thoughts. This issue will close at the end of March or sooner depending on amount of participation. Good luck! Remember to be creative!
