This is only information on a plan we are developing. Any feedback is welcome.

Wizard
The Wizard is in charge of everything! (remember, each Guild has a wizard) Each Guild gets a home page. The Wizard has some choices: If he/she wants they can post a newsletter, they choose what members come it, and what members go out. Just find out more about Wizards below. If you’re a wizard of course, you’ll get many, many details…and more info too.

Members
Members represent their Guild. They also vote on things within their Guild. They write the poems for the contests (more about that below). There are four ranks (other than Wizard).
Master
Senior
Junior
Apprentice
You move to the next level by doing a Deed. (see more about Deeds below)

Master
Masters help the Wizards, but don't have as much responsibility and/or respect. They do things like update the Message Board (mandatory) and if you like post the newsletter. In every Battle (more about that below) they need to send in 4 poems. To become a Wizard you must do 8 Deeds, and be a Master for 6 months.

Senior
Seniors have to send things into the newsletter (if you have one). In each Battle they must send in 3 poems. To become a Master they must be a Senior for 2 months, and complete 6 Deeds. Seniors are required to Train the Apprentices.

Junior
Juniors need to read the newsletter, and visit the 3 other Guilds and post on the message board. To become a Senior, they need to watch seniors and talk to Apprentices. For each Battle they need to send in 2 poems. To become a Senior they must send in 7 poems altogether and do 4 deeds.

Apprentices
Apprentices are basically training to be working in the Guild. They watch the Seniors, Masters, and Wizards. They talk with the Juniors, and get a Senior trainer. They only have to send in one poem per Battle. They need to post messages on the Message Board, Visit other Guilds, and put a few suggestions on the suggestion page* (IF your Guild has it). In order to graduate to a Junior, they must do 2 deeds.

Training
When the Seniors train the Apprentices, all they are doing is sending poetry back and forth. What are you training for? Firstly, you want to become a better poet*. (the better the poet/author you are, the better chances you can become a Wizard) Secondly, you need to learn how to be friendly with each other and get to know one another. Another thing a Senior will do is help you learn how to control the Guild. In other words, he'll/she'll give you advice on doing Deeds, or tips on how to update websites*. (if you become a Master or Wizard you need to know). Also, by letting them train you, you'll become good partners* and help the Senior*! (many times people like to write together! and that counts as a poem for each person; Seniors need to train someone to become a Master)

Judging Levels
How do I decide if you're a Master or a Junior? Well, the Voters* (more about that below) help me... You fill out the form* (which says things like, 'Why should you be the Wizard' and 'What experience do you have in Web Design?') and within that form, you need to send me a sample poem/story. It better be a darn good piece of work too – that’s what, pretty much, decides if you can be the position you want. I email all the applications to all the Voters and they Vote to see if, say, Joey should be an Apprentice or a Wizard. Get it?

The Guilds
As I said before. There are four Guilds. The Wizard of that Guild decides on some CHOICES* (he/she doesn't completely decide, he/she just sets the choices) and the members (and Wizard) vote on it. And that name will stay F-O-R-E-V-E-R. In other words, the next members don't get to choose :-( If one set of kids names it the Strawberries...the Strawberries it will be - Forever*. (or as long as this competition lasts:-)
Each Guild gets a web page...Pretend you name your Guild Strawberries* (I'm just gonna use that for now, OK?) then the URL will be:
http://www.geocities.com/p4k.strawberrys/index.html
FOR RIGHT NOW THAT IS NOT A VALID URL!!! It’s just an example. And you will get a password, which only the Wizard and Master know.

Can You Get Bumped Off Your Level?
No, everyone starts at Apprentice and works their way up. However you can stay at your level while everyone else graduates. Which isn't good, because it holds everyone else up...Everyone below you. That’s why it is important that you either complete the things needed to graduate or quit and let someone else in. Its also possible that while you’re in the middle of a level and the rank above you quits you could bump up to their spot.

Stuff for your Guild's Site
**You need to know this to be a Wizard**
Every Guild* (the guild means the members-but it also means the web page) must have the following:
A Message Board
A Name
5 Members (including the Wizard)
Optional things for the Guild (The Wizard picks choices and the members vote) are:
**Suggestions (for your guild)
***Writing Tips
****Records (wins in the Battles and Wars)
*****Recognitions (every time a member is added, their name gets added!)
***Deed Tips
*****Newsletter
And Wizards can also choose their own stuff -- BUT PLEASE! don't get off the subject, which is Writing and making Friends! And keep things *safe* enough for a 5 year old to hear/read. Things are starred about how much I recommend them.

Rules
Keep on the subject - writing and friends! Don't curse or say anything you wouldn't want your parents to hear. Be friends with everyone in your Guild - They are your team! Don't put-down the other Guilds either. You don't hafta be their best bud, but don't tease them about losing a War or Battle. Its okay if your Poems/stories are a little gory or sad. Depending on the topic (below).

Battles
A battle happens once a Month. What happens is each Guild chooses five poems (one by each person) to enter. Each Battle there is a different Topic, so you get to write about different things. The Voters and I decide on one poem per Guild. You are constantly updated on what’s going on at the Guild homepage.
Each Voter (and me) votes for three poems each. And then out of those, we do two each, and then one each. And the one winning poet gets recognized - but more importantly that shows which Guild is at the King status. Of course that’s only for the battles. You want to be at Sorcerer level for the WARS! (yes there are Guild levels too. more about that below)

Wars
A War lasts six months. In the war, there are 6 battles. Each War has a main Topic, (e.g. The War of Love) and each battle has a Topic (e.g. The Family Love Battle; The Battle of Marriage). They are like battles - kinda. At the end of the fifth battle, the two best Guilds battle each other. It takes a lot of work to win a real War, and a lot of work to win these Wars. Now here’s the catch -- Each Guild can send in however much poetry they like! So if you send in 100 poems, and the other Guild sends in 30, who’s gonna get more votes? Obviously whoever sends more good ones in! And then the Winning Guild gets MUCH respect, special recognitions, gets Sorcerer Status (the biggest honor) and gets to start the next war at King Status. The last battle (the one that decides if your Guild is a Sorcerer) is called the E.W. (End of War) and is a MAJOR topic. (or an MT)

Topics/Main Topics
There are 6 Main Topics and 6 Topics.
The Main Topics are:
The War of Love
The War of Death, Hatred and Pain
The Beauty War
The War of Popularity
The War of Selfishness
The War Against Judgement
The Topics go under the Main Topics. The Topics are for the Battles and the Main Topics are for the Wars.
The War of Love
The Love thy Neighbor Battle
The Battle with Marriage
The Couples Battle
Help Yourself
Give some Love
(MT) Love Life
----Hey! I'm not telling the rest and letting you get ready! And that’s just an example! Who says the War of Love is going to be the first war?

Guild Status
For the Battles there are Four Statuses:
King (you win!)
Prince (2nd ain't bad)
Knight (pretty good)
Joker (nice effort)
For the War there are also four statuses, but this is what REALLY counts:
Sorcerer (You rule the court!)
Wizard (very good competition)
Angel (very close)
Fairy (great try! maybe next time)

Extra Stuff
Wizards are Wizards for six months = one war. And then the Master becomes Wizard and leads you into battle. What happens to the Wizard? They become retired. They cannot become Voters, just because we wouldn't want them to only vote for their former Guild. If they wait six months, they can start over (with their own Guild) all the way back from Apprentice.

Deeds
Deeds are many, many things! I, (Jessie) can assign you Deeds and so can your Wizard. Deeds are:
Finding things (sometimes, Wizards or I can hide things around your Guild and you find it)
Having your poem win a Battle
Also, if your Wizard emails you or talks to you and says 'Do this as a Deed' Then whatever he/she says will be a Deed. Deeds are how you graduate - which is important! Or I can assign you a Deed of course...
